Red Bomb

Red Bomb is the result of a collaboration between Proyecto Renacer and Finca Las Brisas. Proyecto Renacer developed the special fermentation process that gives Red Bomb its excellent flavor. They then partnered with Finca Las Brisas to produce this fantastic coffee at a greater capacity. As with other Las Brisas coffees, Red Bomb is grown with ecological sustainability in mind in the region of Pereira, Colombia.

The special fermentation process is what gives Red Bomb its fantastic, unique flavor. After the selectively harvested cherries ferment, they are depulped and put in a tank to undergo anaerobic fermentation for 120 hours. The fermentation time is precise, set between the cherry and honey stage. The fermented beans are then double-washed and dried on traditional African beds. Water conservation is a priority in the production process, so Red Bomb is processed using the Ecomill technology at Las Brisas. Compared to traditional washing and processing methods, the Ecomill reduces water use by 99%.

Red Bomb is named for its particular flavor profile: red fruits, cacao nib, and cherry notes provide a fruity and aromatic aftertaste.
